PROJECT 
Expanding an existing project which redesigned an album cover in a different genre into a festival branding campaign
Beyond aesthetics this project showed that design needs to incorporate meaning for effective communication with the audience. It was important to note how the psychological impacts of colour can impact people’s attitudes and reactions - warm colours such as red and orange portray feelings of passion and energy. My concept uses repeating geometric colour blocks which mimics a sense of high energy and power, making it immediately clear that the genre for this festival is Dance. Seamlessly incorporating type into the design itself further enhances the concept.
